2011 Toronto IMATS Haul

Hey everyone! Long time no post. So I was lucky enough to go to the Toronto IMATS last week. Even though it doesn't look like much I did some serious damage to my wallet. I went both Saturday and Sunday. I took a lot of pics of the venue but SOMEONE had left the camera in its raw format and I have been having trouble converting them to JPEG without losing its quality, but I figured it out and those will be posted soon.

On Sunday, I really wanted to get the ZUCA, but unfortunately they were close to sold out/ The lady told me she could MAKE one for me (dunno how that would work) but then they only accepted cash and they were $300 - and I did not bring that much! On Saturday, the NYX line was ridiculously long! So I made sure I went super early on Sunday, unfortunately almost everything was sold out.

I mainly wanted the studio liquid liner so I picked up 2. The one I purchased last year exploded and broke on me. The prices at NYX had all rose from last year.

They brought the round lipsticks this year!

Overdue Collective Haul

Sorry ladies, I know it's been a while. I never really know what to post these days. I finally uploaded all my pics from the camera. Here are a couple things I purchased over the past few months.

From Hautelook, I picked up some Lorac items for really good prices. I think the eye shadows were like $2 each, however the shipping was around $11, plus I'm not sure if I was charged International Fees. I picked up the baked eye shadows in shades Posh, Social, and Chic. I also got a black matte eyeshadow and a cream eyeliner/eye shadow duo in Fame and Fortune.

I also did my first Rock & Republic order from Hautelook! Please click this link if you would like an invite to this site. I was charged a ridiculous amount in international fees for this order, on top of the shipping. I think I paid around $80 for this one.
I took some crappy pics, but ya...I forgot to show the blending brush I got. The packaging is to die for. And since you all know I am a make up hoarder, I was scared to never own any of these since they are being discontinued (I think). I picked up the powder in Cashmere, and 3 eye shadows.

My two first orders from HAUTELOOK! Here, you can see the Rock & Republic blending brush. Overall, I think the site has great deals. I like that my orders come with tracking numbers. Unfortunately for us Canadians, it can get really expensive for us paying both international and shipping fees. And since there are new deals every day, it is almost impossible to try to get all your orders in one, so the shipping costs will always add up to crazy amounts, sometimes not saving us money at all.

I lost my Coach coin purse during the beginning of the year. It's pretty devastating since I had my keys and a few important cards in there. So I decided to replace it with a new one since it matches my daydreamer purse.

And here are my new keys since I lost my old ones. I purchased my first one at Keyman Engravables for I think over $10! I then found the exact same ones at Pacific Mall for a few dollars cheaper. So just letting you all know in case you are interested.

So I tried to stick with having small wallets, but then I ended up fumbling with 3 mini wallets in my purse! One main one, one for change and one for non-everyday cards. I decided to go back to a big wallet to match my purse, this was the closest I could find.

This is proof I haven't been blogging in forever! My bf got me these back in February for my birthday. I used these as my winter boots even though they're not even made for the snow! Oh how I wish they still looked this good. I beat them up pretty well and I love them.

From Dollarama, Mini bikini razors, NYC Sunny Bronzer, Baby wipes, and makeup removing wipes

I forgot to take pics, but I've been dying my hair with the Ion cream colour in medium brown. They cost about $6-7 a tube at Sally's. I got a measuring cup to measure developer, and also CROC clips which I have been searching for forever! I had one that came with my flat iron from Winner's, and I have always been searching for more. They are amazing for sectioning hair when I straighten it.

From Sephora, I picked up my first GHD! It's not that amazing, but it is the best iron I have ever owned. If you don't know I have very thick wavy coarse frizzy hair (very UN-Asian like lol), and it's actually wavy, not just a little bit, therefore I need a really good iron to tame my hair.

I also picked up the UDPP Professional Size XL, I find it very dry and thick. Let me know if you feel the same if you own one.

Please don't shake your heads at me girls I know I spend way too much on makeup but I had no clue what to get with the recent VIB sale, so I ended up with another UDPP in Eden!

I got my belly pierced a week and a half ago at New Tribe. My friend that got it doen at the same place recommended I get the vegetable soap they sold. The piercer told me to use Spectro Gel. I'm on the lookout for some sea salt as well. If you girls have any tips of cleaning it, please let me know.

From Wal-Mart, I got this adorable Hello Kitty mirror/hair brush and the Maybelline Line Stiletto, which I love a lot more than the L'oreal Lineur Intense in Carbon Black, since it is a lot more opaque.

Random goodies from Shoppers Drug Mart. I used all coupons for this purchase. Do any of you watch Extreme Couponing? These women are crazy. They get their $1,000 grocery bill down to a few cents. (Yea sorry off topic)

I've been wanting to buy a new MAC brush cleanser for a while, then I got an email from MAC with a promo code for a free sample eyemakeup remover with any purchase and free shipping and so I did! I have the full size eye makeup remover already and it works pretty well, it's just kind of pricey.

MAC Warehouse Sale (March 2011)

So this is my first time going on a Saturday, my first time having to wait outside in the massive lineup, and first time going right in the morning. I was disappointed at the huge price increases since the last time I went. That being said, I spent more than I ever had previously =(

The eyeshadow palettes were ridiculously overpriced from previous sales. I remember they used to be $15 buy 1 get 1, now they're $25...
The charity package sucked...a blue lipmix and a foundation in medium deep...
I wanted a few pigments but the line up was too long they were $12
The $4 lineup was the longest I refused to line up but luckily I was at the refund table where a lot of the items were available for me to snatch up! =)

Late Post: Haul from Toronto IMATS 2010

Sorry for the late post! I spilled eye makeup remover on my keyboard so it's been really difficult to type. I went to the International Makeup Artist Trade Show on Saturday. My friend and I were planning on lining up there well before it opened but she woke up quite late that day. I didn't have much time to shop, I had to rush because I had to go back home then go downtown to get my hair coloured that evening. I really wished I paid everything in cash I just checked my credit card statement and almost everyplace except for Make Up Fr Ever charged me in US dollars!! What a scam!! The only place that told me that they would was Royal brushes.
I was bummed that what I mainly went there for was not there...the Parian Spirit brush cleanser!

Anyways here is what I got:
At Make Up For Ever - my guilty pleasure - where I dropped most of my $ - I thought there would be huge lineups for this but there wasn't. Everything was supposedly 40% off and best thing - no tax!

This primer set was only $70

From NYX (I wish I would have gotten more but I was running late)
That liquid liner is amazing!! They did not have the round lipsticks

From Crown Brushes - this place was the busiest of them all I had to wait forever t pay cuz they only had once machine. I gt a lot of brushes that I had ordered from Coastal Scents buaha never have to order brushes from them again!

Royal Brushes had a huuuge line as well. I only got one brush, I wasn't going to stay in line but my friend needed me to pay for her (since she maxed her credit card!)

Cici Fashion Brushes had the most cheapest brushes of them all. Downside is they took cash only. I wish I had gone to them first. A few of their brushes you can see the downside in quality but a lot of them were equal to crown/royal. For instance, their 224/blending dupe was only $2.50 while at crown they were over $6

These were $4 each. I was bummed cuz later I saw a spatula for $1

I was tempted to get Eve Pearl lashes that were on sale for $1. But everyone knows I don't need anymore...

INOA Revolutionary Red Hair Transformation by L'Oreal Professional Canada (Contest Entry)

Soo I'm about a week late with this post...L'Oreal and Matchstick hooked me up with an AMAZING hair stylist Manny from Flaunt Boutique. I got my hair done red!! On top of that I got myself some new crazy bangs. We used the new L'oreal INOA Hair Colour. I was such a bad blogger I didn't even take any pics, actually I lost my new camera...hopefully I find it soon. I didn't tell you guys this but Thanksgiving weekend I chopped off my butt length hair to right below my shoulders! I lovee long hair but it was sooo dead...I was contacted well before I cut off my hair but I gave up after weeks and weeks went by with no reply from a stylist. When I finally got the call I was more than ready to go red! I got the full treatment; haircut, coloured, styled...makeup, wardrobe, and photographer! This is for a contest on Facebook so I would really appreciate all your help! There are entries from 2 months ago so we are behind big time and need to catch up!
Day 1:
I got my hair coloured. I believe Manny used about 3-4 shades. Mainly the base was the darkest red and I also have some copper highlights.
Day 2:
We were praciting for the photoshoot. Manny originally wanted to do a fingerwave style. After a few shots he decided a different look would suit me better - and I totally agreed! I have shots of the finished style but I turned out really bad in them so sorry! But here is the pin curl process:

Day 3:
Manny cut my bangs, I always had side swept bangs but now they were full straight bangs! How Asian right? Only thing I worry about it now I can't leave my hair wavy since they would look weird with full bang. I also got a few face framing layers. I got my makeup done and then we were off to the photoshoot.

Halloween Makeup

So I watched Paranormal Activity 2 last night (I did not see the first one), I was not that scared during the movie, but I was definitely scared at home - especially whenever I heard creaks or when I had to go to the basement! Let's just say I usually get about 3-4 hours of sleep before I have to get up at 4am for work (AND THAT'S IF I'M LUCKY!) - so yea, I didn't get any sleep that night!
BTW, Who's going to IMATS?? Cuz I am!!! =D

Kinda disappointed with this as it smells like cheap Halloween makeup. Not shown but I also purchased another ELF blending brush for $1.50

This hairspray was on sale for only $6! Regular price I think was over $20 - it smells pretty good for a hairspray and doesn't leave any flakes

Shopper's Drug Mart!:
I always wanted to try out the Quo Professional Brush line....I never realized that when the normal Quo brushes went on sale fro 40% off that these would too.

I searched forever for a brush but I could not convince myself to buy any single brush, I still found them quite expensive...there were many duplicates between the professional and regular line and I could not see any major differences...I opted to get a travel brush set:

I was lucky enough to go to another one of these. My mom always hides these tickets from me because she knows I waste a lot of money here. I really wanted to save up for IMATS but I was under very bad influence here...lol
I know it doesn't look like much but all that cost me just under $80...I was only planning on spending less than $40! I put back a lot of items too.
I could swear that prices have gone up. I remember the last time I went I blogged that the Maybelline foundations were $1.25, and L'oreal were $2. This time, Maybelline foundations were $3 and L'oreal foundations were $6.
The L'oreal Infallible lipsticks (the ones that have 2 sticks) were there for $4.

A gel liner for less than $3...I didn't even know it would be labeled at MAC...it is obviously not real MAC. I have not worn it out since the swatch on my hand was not smudge proof. I was also surprised how small it was...the picture made it seem a lot bigger.

KOJI eyelash glue - these dry fast so you better not let the habit of letting the glue dry tacky get in the way. I got them in both black. The pink package is ridiculously small I felt ripped off. I paid over $7 for both of them. For the 2nd one, the glue spills a lot whenever I open it.

CSN Stores Review: Casual Barn Sandals

I told you all in a previous post that I was going to do a review sponsored by CSN Stores. I was initially interested in the makeup mirror but I changed my mind when I realized they sold shoes! They sell tonss of shoes! For a while I found a few shoes I was interested in....but then....I was really mad that I wasted my time when I found out those certain styles didn't even ship to Canada. You Americans get all the fun!! So from then on I had to keep changing the filter to ships to Canada. At first, the selection was quite boring. Then one day they had all new shoes...very interesting shoes...shoes that are great for clubbing, Halloween costumes, and ALSO there were shoes that were......how can I put this? Would only be put to use by exotic dancers! No joke. Check this lol.

I have a bad habit of buying high heels that I dread wearing because I actually have flat feet so I can't wear heels for more than an hour without my body aching. So after long debate I chose these:

I know these may not be the most fashionable sandals but they seemed like the most practical choice for me at the time. After I placed my order the company immediately sent me a tracking number. I forgot exactly how long the shipping took but it was pretty quick, less than a week for sure. The day I received the package I immediately wore them since I was on my way out. The fit was perfect and they actually looked quite nice - exactly like the picture. I was scared I had picked out a granny style of sandal but they looked quite elegant. I was also scared the wood base would not be comfortable but it was actually very comfortable!
So...I don't find my feet to be wide but the sandals were definitely too narrow for me. The straps were digging very hard into my skin. I was already out so I could not change. When I would check my feet I had big pink marks from them. When I got home I saw they were actually bleeding a bit...so yea I think I will have to try to break them in using the ice trick.
What I really like about the site is that all the fees are charged when you pay. You do not have to worry about paying duty fees to the mail courier or having to pick it up at the post office because you did not have money on hand to pay the fees at the door. Also, the filtering system makes searching a breeze. Especially for the shoes, you can sort by size of heel, colour, size, brand, price, etc.
Overall, I had a good experience with the company just not with the item I chose. Who knows? Maybe my feet are considered to be wide =(

So it aired last night...I'm sorry for letting you guys know so late! I was informed that it would be airing on Sunday, then on Saturday I was told it was airing and I had literally 2 minutes to tune in!
I hateeeee my braces!!! =(
And I looked like a retard putting in my lenses - I'm not actually that clumsy - I just wasn't used to being that far from the mirror.
Kind of bummed they didn't mention my youtube/blog like I was originally told. Wow it's true what they say about the camera adding 10 pounds! I always knew I had chubby cheeks but DAMN!
I don't know if this can be viewed in countries other than Canada but let me know anyways.

So I just came back from the CTV studio! They asked to interview me because they wanted to do a story on circle lenses. It was so weird because they made me put on and take off different lenses and I kept thinking to myself "Oh my...my makeup is gonna smudge and my lashes are gonna start falling off"

My Corioliss is wearing out bad and by the time I finish straightening it's already frizzy. But luckily, I found my New Cortex Tourmaline Flat Iron from Winners! It was only $40!! I also bought a mini iron for my bangs. This actually sells on beautychoice for a LOT more.

If I hadn't mentioned already....I am a BIG sushi addict. Trust me, that is not a good addiction especially for the wallet. Here is my fave dish in the world from my fave sushi restaurant - Mountain Roll from Sushi2Go. The picture shown is almost $50 worth but well worth it. Mountain Roll is basically spicy salmon with salmon and tobiko on top with hot sauce and this other sauce. The rolls shown without the sauce on top is just normal spicy salmon. I definitely recommened this place if you guys find one near you.

DCW: Finally found Lucky Lucky Lavender...was the last one too! Also picked up Red My Fortune Cookie.

I need help! PayPal Dispute/Claims

UPDATE: I have won my case against both FaceFront and BeautyChoice.

So unfortunately my last 2 online purchases have gone wrong.

The first, FaceFront Cosmetics...
I ordered 2 eyeshadows from them. Facefront never sent me a tracking number even though the website says it always gives with an order...I never received a tracking number the first time I had ordered from them either so I didn't think it was a big deal and I thought maybe cuz I am from Canada and it was a small order they wouldn't give me a tracking number. After almost a month of not receiving my package I emailed them 3 times with no response. I looked up if there were any other cases similar to mines...let's just say there were MANY...apparently they seemed to have not shipped out any of their orders...and apparently they are under new management and so the owner uses that for an excuse. The cases I read online, the girls were ignored as well but once they opened a dispute on paypal the owner CALLED them right away and finally shipped out their orders.

So I filed a dispute with FaceFront. After a couple days with no response. I escalted it to a claim. Have any of you escalted your disputes to a claim? I wanna know what happens. I read more aritcles/forums about how paypal scams you as well. Trying to push you to escalate the case to a claim, which automatically closes your dispute. From then on PayPal has the final word. The cases I read most people had a problem that they were denied a refund from Paypal since their complaint was about receiving the wrong product. Paypal claims to only protect against shipping and not against quality of items. So I really do not see why not I will win this one but let's see how good/safe PayPal really is...

I kind of freaked out when I read that it was back in Chicago even though it has been to Canada. I didn't understand the terminology. So I emailed the company numerous times with no response.

Keep in mind PayPal only gives you 45 days from payment to file a dispute so I opened one a few days ago. And this is the response I get:
"We have spoken regarding your order and informed you the package was denied at customs and is being returned to our warehouse. Once received, we can issue you a refund. Please let us know if you have any questions in the meantime."

I freaked out. Ok first of all I was not spoken to at all so I feel disrespected that I was talked down to like that, making me seem like some dumbass. 2nd of all, if they knew the item would never be in my hands I should have gotten my refund right away!

It's been in Chicago since March 13 and today is March 25...how much longer do I have to wait until it gets back to their warehouse? Who even knows if its back in their warehouse and they didn't tell me...I only have until April 12 to file a claim with them, which will automatically close my case with them and let PayPal decide. I'm scared of that shipping clause, since the company actually did ship out their item I don't know if PayPal would still cover me.

What if BeautyChoice loses the package and never gets it back? Even if they get it back, I doubt it is in their priority to give me back my money, they will find some way to keep my money...

In the meantime I have emailed my bank and have told them my situation...I hope this will all get settled =(

So I wanna know if any of you have filed claims or disputes with PayPal. Please let me know your stories.

Now I see why this brand is so popular - my first OPI Nail Polishes! I think they're very good quality polishes but they're a bit pricey, and don't have the best colour variety. I'm not a very big fan of nail polish, but since I removed my gel nails, I need something to hide my ugly (cuz basically my natural nails were filed/buffed away to paper thin) nails but now I see why everyone says NOT to get them done in the first place lol

Review: New Annabelle Mineral Foundation

When I first heard about this line, I was honestly thinking, "Okay...another brand jumping on the mineral line train"
I can honestly say from the first time I have used this, I have not touched my liquid foundation again. This saves me soooooooo much time in the morning. I don't think I will use liquid again unless it's a special occasion.
I got this in Nearly Nude, it was hard to choose which shade was right for me from the online swatches. But after seeing the shades in store, this was definitely the shade I would have chosen. However, it is a bit pale on me, I wish it were a bit more tan to match me better. But the next shade was too beige/cool. Since I use it with the Annabelle Mineral Bronzer, it helps balance out my tone.
Thankfully I am someone who does not need a lot of coverage when it comes to foundation. However, I was always used to packing on tons of heavy liquid foundation just because I liked the finish and it was all I was used to. I used to use both heavy concealer and foundation. Over the past few months, I switched to just using foundation, so I was very hesitant to believe a mineral foundation would replace my routine.
If you are someone who needs coverage for acne, any mineral foundation will NOT do the job unfortunately. I have tried $90 mineral foundation and it just won't cut it.
I mainly just focus the mineral powder on my undereyes and it quickly does the job, no concealer needed (for me anyways)
I like the size of the product...it's larger than the other 3 mineral foundations I have previously owned; Bare minerals, Maybelline, and Bella Pierre. I like that the cap size is large so your brush can get an even amount. I HIGHLY recommend this over the Maybelline one.
I apply it with the Annabelle A-13 powder brush
At Shoppers Drug Mart, they have special edition versions where it comes with a cute kabuki, which is a lot fluffier than the one that Maybelline mineral foundation comes with.
My tip for any mineral powders is to not pull off the sticker sifter. Instead, poke only a few holes with a sharp object (I knew this tip before Enkore's video lol). This way, you can control the excess powder. It will be a pain at first, since you can only get a little bit out at a time, but it will save you a lot of product and stress in the end.
The upside to mineral powders is that you can carry it around with you and you don't have to worry about it breaking. On the other hand, a lot of the powder can come out of the sifter and into the cap and lid, which is where the poking holes trick comes in handy.
Keep a look out for my reviews on the rest of the line!

Pros: Very natural looking with great coverage, gives a nice glow and satin finish
Cons: Only comes in 4 shades

Very late posting this lol I think most ppl got almost identical prizes, I specifically asked for them not to send me studio pigments since I already owned all the shades, and Catherine was very sweet and told me that was fine.

So I apologize I was supposed to post this over a month ago!

Who else was overly excited when they received an email from Sephora announcing their first ever boxing day sale? I've worked in the mall for 5 years and knew they never used to have sales on boxing day. So even though I had a 12 hour shift that day, I still came to the mall over an hour early just to get first dibs. I was sooooo disappointed when I saw the tiny little stand they had, which was all that was on sale. I tried so hard to pick something, anything, but nope...walked out with nothing. As the days went by, I kept going back to see if anything new was on sale. I ended up with a few items:

The Clean fragrance set was $12 - hehe I always call it the perfume that smells like a washroom

There was mainly this one reddish eyeshadow called Grenadines, then I noticed just one eyeshadow called Night Sun. It was on the 50% off shelf. After she rung up my purchases I looked at my receipt when I was heading out the mall and I wasn't honored the 50% off, cuz I guess she didn't know it was a manual adjustment, so then I had to walk ALL the way back...

Kat Von D Lipgloss set $32 I think

Cargo had 50% off and obviously nothing was left. I ended up with this eyeliner brush for $10...it hurts my eye though...I think I'll use it for brows

For my Torontonians, I went to the Shopping Channel Outlet on Orfus Road and picked up this Bare Essentials set for only $10!! I have been loving that eyeshadow brush! They had a few other different sets too, including one with Boxom lipgloss but I heard they are all sold out of these now

DCW at Vaughan Mills had their Boxing Sale well past December, it was I think 10% off and no tax, unfortunately I noticed like almost all their items except for most NYX items, all went up in price...since this palette stayed the same price I didn't feel ripped off lol. Reminds me a bit of Spiced Chocolate quad. The shadows are alright, I find they fade quickly and thres a big mess in the pan after you use it. I just love the packaging though.

I never mentioned that the item I won looked absolutely NOTHING like the pic...it was like a granny dress!! Ok so I haven't been to this mall in like 2 years...but I finally got my hands on Milk (and yes, they are sold with tape on it lol)! The blush in Mauve was $6.99 which I don't think is that great a deal but I haven't tried it yet, and the L.A Colors palette was only $3.99...all the girls at my work wear LA Colors and they seem pigmented to I wanted to try it out,down side is they didn't have testers for those palettes...shit son...the new NYX 5 colour palettes are sooo pigmented. but $12.99...damn I wanted sooo many more things like NYX lipsticks and brushes but I tried very hard to limit myself! I wanna go again!!

I got this a while ago...but summer has made me really lazy hence the lack of blog posts...this will be my last Coach purchase for a while...I really needed a nice wristlet cuz it was really embarrassing going to formal events with a big ass purse. I already own like a gazillion pairs of false lashes, but....I found a sweet deal on lashes off of eBay - 40 pairs for $12! Here is the seller
You get 4 different styles, but you don't get to choose. I'm not a fan of those thick ones, looks draggish. Plus, it also includes eyelid glue and the pusher (which I don't need)

I received an email from Sephora, promoting a Make Up For Ever Event, giving consultations, and then you would receive a free pouch, so I debated for so long whether to make my appointment before or after my shift. Thank GOODNESS I scheduled it AFTER my shift...because OMFG the MA did a horrible job on me....I didn't even take pics of it, it was THAT bad...I wanted to get my makeup done after my shift so that the MA would see my makeup skills that I had already applied to my face, but nope....it was just really really bad...but whatever not like I was going anywhere afterwards.
Anyways I only ended up purchasing the Aqua eyes liner, two other products I wanted they were sold out of.

Kryolan Aqua Colors

Ok so I made a goal for myself that I would not buy ANY more makeup until September after this purchase. I REALLY hope I make it...I ordered this about a month ago so I think I'm doing pretty good...
Anyways I ordered these off the infamous Shrinkle from eBay cuz I wanted to practice some Halloween looks on some of my friends since they had asked me to do their makeup this coming Halloween (I know it's waay ahead of time!). I had already tried a few months ago the skeleton face on my bf and it looked mother friggin awesome except since I didn't have the white face paint I used normal dry eyeshadow and it brought the look down so I am so excited to try it again, this time with no excuses!
So these are the Kryolan Aqua Colors that are water activated. I use a mix of water and mixing medium to apply. I must note that I LOVEEE the smell of them...I dunno how to describe it...kind of like pastries or cakes? So far, I've only swatched them and they're a bit of a hit and miss.
The metallic silver which was the most expensive was the sheerest out of all. I literally did 10 coats in the swatch...it doesn't apply even...I was hoping to do a terminator look with this product...I guess that's out of the question =(
The white took a couple coats but I am pleased.
The black I LOVEEEE omg in the swatch that was only ONE COAT!

Makeup Night!!

Yea so me and my girls were bored so one of my friends suggested I go get my makeup and do everyone's makeup...So we went to my house and I dumped like half of my makeup stash into bags (at this point I really wish I owned a traincase) then went back to my friend's house...I have never really done anyone's makeup before and I must admit it's not very easy working with different eye shapes...especially Asian eyes that are smaller than mines! You can see I got kinda tired by each girl lol it was late plus they weren't going anywhere..so yea i realize the eyes are not all even or perfectly blended like i would like...and they did not have the luxury of the colored lenses and lashes like I do =)

So I have been going to this sale every year for a few years now, I always ended up getting crappy items I will never use and I end up tossing out a lot of sealed items that have just sat in my drawers for too long. Anyways, I went again this year anyways. It is invitation only, i'm not too sure on how to get your hands on them, my mom usually gets them from people at her work, and I have a few friends who also gets these through their mothers' workplaces. It opened Wednesday, and ends on the 31. So basically they sell tons of things from different brands owned by L'oreal such as: Redken, Matrix, Garnier, Maybelline, Lancome, Biotherm, Armani, Ralph Lauren, Vichy, Kiehl's, and more! OMG I went after class, and I was carrying my textbooks and laptops and damn I was there for like 2 hours, my back was killing me!! And I wasn't there that long because the process was long, but because women were always in my way, so I had to always come back to certain sections afterwards when space cleared up. In terms of selection, there is a great deal of selection, but they are the kinds of things you buy cuz they're cheap then you hardly ever use them lol. The foundations there were RIDICULOUSLY cheap. I had a hard time cuz I wanted one but I have literally never boughten a drugstore foundation, so I had no clue what shade to pick, even though there were testers. I ended up getting L'oreal True Match foundation for only $2 but then when i got home I realized I chose a cool toned shade! =( They had L'oreal lipsticks 10 for $10, and tons of bronzers/self tanners, perfumes, hair dyes - which I was ooo tempted to look at since that's what I usually buy, but no more home hair dye for me! BTW the women there are crazy!!! Anyways, here's some pics:

Recreation of my MAC Makeover + Random Hauls

So I got a makeover done at The Bay MAC a while ago. I chose to get the look called "Glitterpuss" from Hello Kitty done. The MA was super duper nice and her makeup application on me was awesome. She guided me through every single step she was doing. It was funny cuz she was scared on how dramatic she could go, I told her yea do everything - I do that all the time! lol she said its cuz people come in with no makeup, its difficult to know how dramatic they will go. Unfortunately, I didn't get to take pics until i came home, and it was a hot day, so i was SUPER DUPER oily in them, hence, I didn't post the pics until now. Plus the makeup faded in only a few hours, even before I had dinner. No UDPP = FAIL imo!

Here is the look the MAC MA did - I LOVE IT! Oh yea I applied lashes afterwards so that's why my lashes don't really match up. Keep in mind this was like 8 hours after application though...WARNING: super shiny face! =(

And here's the look I RECREATED at home, I noticed she did the contour shade higher than me, I switched it with the orange =)
Ooh, and don't mind the messed up eyebrows, with my new black hair, I'm still getting used to the dark eyebrows, which means more work in defining them

I really wanna get Funtabulous and Sugarrimmed next time I collect more B2M redeemables, since they are permanent I have lots of time! Update: I am fully healed from my accident, with only a few scars that aren't very noticeable. And also, I got my items back from my swaplifter! She got the shit scared out of her when we told her (there were over 6 of us that I know about) we were reporting to the police.
So I tried black circle lenses a year ago, and they cost me friggin' $200 for one pair! So when I found a site that sold them for only $14US+shipping, I knew I had to take advantage, even though I HATE ordering online (you can get prescription too!). And I have to note that the CDN dollar sucks...a $60 order becomes over $80...I think it took me about 3 months to receive, but it was well worth the wait. The contacts you receive are exactly like the ones shown in the pic, however, not the ones in the models' eyes, and yea, you won't look like the model lol. I just recently placed another order since I loved them so much! The person who runs the site is very friendly as well!

Okay, so I can't pull off the Ulzzang look (not that I tried), I think I look too North Americanized lol and yea that pic was taken late at night so excuse the worn out makeup and skin. Grrr I hate my roots - it makes me look like I have greasy roots but I don't wanna redo my roots until I have an occasion to go to, my hairdresser charges me $125 JUST to do my roots...I think I've been paying $800/year just to keep up with my colour...so I am seriously considering dying my hair back to dark =(

Oh ya, and if you guys wanna repress matte eyeshadows and alcohol won't work, MAC's Face and Body Mixing Medium will do the trick. I tried pressing with alcohol, and it wouldn't work. The past Friday the 13th was the worst day of my life. I was in a horrible car accident. I was in the passenger seat, I was the only one physically harmed. Thank goodness all the damage that occurred to me was ALL that happened...when it happened I seriously thought I was gonna die...when we came to a stop I thought my whole face was gonna be ruined forever...luckily only my mouth area got injured...i thought my teeth were gone too but luckily they're all still there. Basically, the friggin airbag punched my mouth and it swelled up REALLY REALLY bad...I look ridiculous...like collagen injections x 50! with rub burns/cuts all around the area...i went to the hospital after, and finally after 5 hours waiting, i FINALLY see a doctor, who just tells me to take polysporin and tylonel - geez thanks for telling me something I already knew...anyways, here's the look I recorded RIGHT before I left the house....

Ok so after like 2-3 years, i FINALLY get to shop at Sally's Beauty Supply again. I always try to go because there's one right beside my movie theatre but that one closes so early!

I HATEEE Facefront's Closet!

So long story short, I ordered Facefront's Survival Paint (eyeshadow base) from their authorized re-seller Facefront's Closet (not the original Facefront webiste). They instead sent me an eyeshadow pigment, which costs less than the Survival Paint, therefore I paid more for an item that costs less. I emailed the company's main email address many times and they have never answered once. I complained to the seller's email and she/they said there's nothing they can do except refund me the difference. Reluctantly, I was like ok if you can't even send me the right product that I ordered, give me my refund of the difference.
After all that, she found a lame excuse to refuse me the right product OR the refund - she found a way to blame ME! Even though it was clear they had made a mistake.

Ok so I've never been much of a purse/bag kind of girl, but I do own a few Coach items (since I am a brand whore!)
Note: For the price, they are not that great quality - my Carly bag is getting messed up at the bottom =(
I currently own the following:

Then, my bf got himself a money clip, and he gave me his black coach wallet:

And since MEN'S wallets have no place for change...it gave me an excuse to buy a change purse...I had the TOUGHEST decision of which shade to buy. "Do I buy the black change purse to match my wallet or get the shade that matches my purse?"

I ended up getting the black one so that if I wanted to switch purses, my wallet and coin purse would match:

And so time went on, I got sick and tired of having to use 2 different items to pay for things, so I searched for a matching wallet for my purse, I chose the Hampton's Signature Checkbook Wallet - it doesn't match my purse completely because the straps of my purse are black, but it was the closest thing I could get that wasn't ugly.

And now since my black coin purse in lonely, I am planning to get the black ZOE SIGNATURE CAPACITY WRISTLET

I am thinking of getting a swingpack, but none out that I like at the moment.
